Playstation Vita Games

The North American launch of the PlayStation Vita is just a few short weeks away, so for those of you considering picking up Sony’s new uber-device, it’s time to start thinking about what you will do with it. As you might expect from a device of its sort, the Vita will have all the bells and whistles of a modern handheld media device: It will stream Netflix, have access to the PlayStation Store and all that it offers including video and music rentals, and have other neat-o things like Facebook. It would be odd if it didn’t. It will also play your own video and music files, and it even has front and back cameras.

Some of the games that are expected to come in the market this year is

Street Fighter X Tekken by Capcom

Kinect technology used in Xbox will be used in laptops

Microsoft is working manufacturers third-party manufacturers on prototypes of laptops utilizing a built-in Kinect sensor. Microsoft has already discussed desktops that include Kinect functions while at CES this year, but this is the first mention of the motion controller in a portable solution. The prototypes appeared to be ASUS netbooks and they were running Windows 8, likely to use motion navigation within the metro style version of the operating system.

Microsoft started encouraging developers to experiment with the Kinect hardware after opening up the Kinect SDK during June 2011 and seeks to roll out Kinect-enabled desktops before the end of the year. According to speculation from The Daily, Microsoft is only offering licensing the Kinect technology to manufacturers rather than building a solution in-house. Adaptations of Kinect technology popped up all over CES 2012 with many television manufacturers such as Samsung and LG adopting motion-based controls to navigate menus and other HDTV functions. In addition, a company called SoftKinetic is also building 3D gesture technology into portable computers. As displayed during CES this year, the technology can sense motion beyond six inches from the sensor built into the laptop.

Facebook implements new Timeline features

Facebook timeline will give new feature from born till now showing all your activity till date.

It has got cool look and will give facebook user a new approach in social media. In order for its new class of apps via the Open Graph to work, Timeline has to be activated. These new apps will access and take advantage of user data like never before and offer the companies behind them a very intimate view of consumers. Before, manufacturers and marketers were able to glean information about you because of your basic information and what you “liked” on Facebook. Now they won’t be limited to just like: they’ll know what you eat, how you work out, what you want, what you bought, where you travel, what concerts you buy tickets to, what you wear… the possibilities are infinite.
Not that the new class of apps isn’t user friendly. Music apps from the likes of Pandora, Spotify, and MOG have been incredibly well-received by users, and news reader apps have also done well. Consumers have taken to applications that leverage the content they already have—whether it’s via smartphone or Web. It’s only natural that Facebook—which for more and more people may as well be the entire Internet—would apply this to the social graph and its unstoppable growth.

Tegra boasts LG X3 -quad-core smartphone which uses
Nvidia's Tegra 3 processor

Smartphones powered by quad-core processors are most likely going to be the thing to have this year, with HTC,SamsungFujitsu and others all linked to such devices. LG has now been added to the list following a leak of the X3, which is said to use Nvidia’s Tegra 3 chip.

The X3′s screen will measure 4.7-inches and have a resolution of 1280 x 720, plus there will be an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 1.3 megapixel video-call camera on the front, Bluetooth 4.0, 16GB of internal memory and NFC.

X3 should run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box; like many ICS-powered handsets set for release this year, it would utilize physical capacitive, and not touchscreen, buttons.

For connectivity it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 21Mbps HSPA and an NFC chip, which can be utilized for contactless payments and the like. The battery is said to be a whopping 2000mAh, which, if true, would put the X3 top of its class by a fair distance.

LG Introduces new Optimus PAD LTE Tablet

Like the G-Slate , the new Optimus Pad will have an 8.9-inch screen, but this model will be a lot thinner and lighter at only 9.34mm thick and about 497 grams (1.09 lbs), which is slightly thicker than an iPhone 4S, and fairly light for a tablet, though the Galaxy Tab 8.9  weighs slightly under a pound.

Under the hood, the Optimus Pad LTE runs Google’s Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) operating system, with no announced upgrade plan to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) yet. It also has a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 1280×768 pixel IPS LCD screen (wide angle viewing), 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 32GB of internal storage, and a Micro SD card slot. Software for editing pictures and videos is also being included.
Though no US distribution has been announced, LG will have to target an LTE-capable wireless carrier, which means either AT&T or Verizon, though Sprint is rumored to be launching its own LTE network sometime before summer.
Nothing about the Optimus Pad LTE seems particularly standout, but most tablets seem to blend together lately. We’re excited that LG has dumped the silly anaglyphic 3D video recording mode that was on the G-Slate, which forced you to wear red and blue glasses to see your 3D videos–you know, like a movie in the 1950s.

Mercedes Benz will use Facebook,Google street view and Yelp in their in built GPS

The new version of Mbrace developed by Mercedes-Benz will support several new Web applications including Facebook profiles, Google search and Street View, Morningstar Finance, Panoramio and popular review site Yelp. Many of the applications tie into the car’s navigation system and update the car’s route when redirecting to a nearby Facebook friend or a well-reviewed restaurant. The display for the various Mbrace2 applications is to the right of the steering wheel and can be operated through the dials on the radio or a moving knob that’s located near the shifter.

The Facebook application offers access to Places, Friends, Events, Wall and the News Feed in addition to a link to the Mercedes-Benz Facebook page. While the automobile is in operation, the driver can only access places, friends and events, but can also update their Facebook status. However, a user cannot type out a Facebook status message while the car is being driven. Unless the car is completely stopped, the driver has to use the preset status updates like “I’m currently out and about in the car,” and “I’m currently stuck in traffic in ‘GPS Location’.” The Facebook friends list is restricted to friends that have included a phone number or home address on their profile, thus making it simple for the driver to call or create a navigation route to the user’s location. With the Yelp application,  users have the ability to read reviews about a business, call the business or navigate to the business location.
Mercedes-Benz has the ability to roll out improvements to the applications through a 3G service and doesn’t require the car owner to make a visit to a dealership to upgrade apps. Mbrace2 also includes geofencing technology which issues a text messages and emails to the owner of a Mercedes-Benz when the vehicle leaves a predetermined location. The notifications also include GPS tracking of the car’s current journey. Ideal for keeping inexperienced teenage drivers isolated to a specific area, it could also be helpful to police in regards to quick alerts when a vehicle is stolen.

iOS 5 on iPhone 2G, iPod Touch 1G

upgrade old iphone to new iOS5:
Whited00r 5.1 is a customized version of Apple’s official iOS 5, only it’ll run on all iPod Touches and anything after the original iPhone, bringing most of the features of the latest OS. You get multitasking, reminders, a kind of hacked-together iCloud which uses DropBox as its back end, home-screen folders, Newsstand and even custom home-screen backgrounds.
What you don’t get is Notification Center or the App Store.
Whited00r is free, and is installed using iTunes, just as if you were doing a restore of regular Apple software. It is also completely unofficial, and although I haven’t read anything bad about it, putting an entire OS of unknown origins on your phone could obviously be a security risk. Buyer beware and all that.
Jail Break Iphone 4S  & Jail Break Ipad 2

Pod2g and his fellow hackers were getting close to completing an untethered jailbreak for A5 devices. This includes both the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S.

This video shows that pod2g did give us something to wet our appetites. The hacker has just posted a video to his blog of an untethered jailbreak running on Apple’s latest handset.
Using red snow 0.10.0a1 for iOS 5.0.1, Iphone 4s was untethered as it is cleary given in step by step method of doing it http://redsn0w-r9-new.blogspot.com

Here are the basic steps for how to get it:
  • The untether is for iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone3GS, iPhone4, iPhone4-CDMA, iPad1, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G
  • If you have one of those devices and are not on 5.0.1 yet, update now!  The SHSH window is still open for 5.0.1  If you unlock via ultrasn0w or gevey, make sure you only get to 5.0.1 via a custom IPSW!  See the guides at places like iClarified.com if you don’t know how.  Once you’re at 5.0.1, use the latest redsn0w 0.9.10 to both jailbreak and untether.
  • If you’re already at 5.0.1 with a tethered jailbreak, you have two choices: either run redsn0w 0.9.10 over your current jailbreak (deselect “Install Cydia” if you do that), or install the Cydia package prepared by the chronic devteam.  The patches are the same regardless of which you choose.
  • Some of you are using a hybrid 5.0/5.0.1 configuration.  If so, do not attempt to install this untether over that setup!  You will most likely get into a reboot cycle.  Do a sync and fresh restore to 5.0.1 then install the jailbreak + untether.
Also for Ipad 2,see the video below which gives an jailbreak of Ipad2

Its an easy process but do at your own risk

Sony Xperia Ion at CES 2012

Sony is no longer tethered to Ericsson. It will give sony a chance to reboot its smartphone lineup in the US. The Xperia Ion doesn’t revolutionize the smartphone, but Sony’s implementation of Android is pleasant to look at and the phone itself is quite thin. Sony has even stolen a good feature from Windows Phone.

Hold down the camera button even if the phone is on standby and the phone will snap a picture. Instantly snaps a picture instead of just opening the camera app.it will work with Android 4.0 and has PlayStation certification for the growing list of PlayStation titles coming to Android.

Sony's new Xperia Ion gets a huge 720p screen, 12-megapixel rear camera and support for AT&T's quick LTE network.
